Winding streets
Residential roads curve and loop across the hills rather than following a grid, creating a flowing pattern typical of older American suburbs.

Ang mapa
Bon Air Map Poster & Print
Bon Air is a community in Chesterfield County, Virginia, just southwest of Richmond and south of the James River. It began in the late nineteenth century as a resort village along the railroad, where Richmond families came to escape summer heat, and some of that early character survives in its older streets.
From above, Bon Air looks very different from a city grid. Streets curve through wooded hills, many ending in quiet loops and cul-de-sacs, and larger roads pass through at intervals. Tree cover and small creeks break the residential areas into distinct pockets.
A Bon Air map poster shows this soft, meandering pattern clearly. In black and white, the looping roads and scattered green spaces form a gentle, organic design, which suits a home office, hallway or living room of someone who lives or grew up there.

Railroad origins
The community first grew along the railroad line, and the older part of Bon Air still sits close to that early route.
Wooded pockets
Creeks and stands of trees divide neighbourhoods into separate clusters, leaving open areas on the map between groups of streets.
