Ang mapa
Ceres Map Poster & Print
Ceres lies in Stanislaus County in California's San Joaquin Valley, just south of Modesto. The land is perfectly flat, and the town follows the rectangular survey grid that divides much of the valley. Long straight roads meet at right angles, and residential neighbourhoods fill the blocks between them. State Route 99 cuts diagonally through the city, the one line that breaks the grid.
The town was named after the Roman goddess of agriculture, a fitting choice for a place surrounded by some of the most productive farmland in the country. Almond and walnut orchards and irrigation canals fill the land around it, and the Tuolumne River flows just to the north, between Ceres and Modesto.
A Ceres map poster reads as a study in geometry: the valley grid, the angled highway and rail corridor, the curving river to the north and the orderly rows of farmland beyond. In black and white, the mix of strict lines and a single natural curve makes a balanced, quietly graphic composition.

Valley grid
Roads laid out on a regular survey grid give the town long straight lines and evenly sized blocks. The pattern continues far out into the farmland.
Tuolumne River
North of the city, the Tuolumne winds between Ceres and Modesto. Its tree-lined banks form the only strong curve in an otherwise straight-lined landscape.

Bakit Ceres
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Ceres is home to many Central Valley families, including some with long ties to farming. A map of its streets is a clean way to mark where you grew up, bought your first house or started a business, and it works well in a kitchen or an office.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files include 18×24″ and 24×36″ sizes, and printed posters come with an optional frame.
