Planned town blocks
The town is built around straight roads and regular compounds. The poster shows a tidy, rectilinear core rather than the winding lanes of older settlements.

Ang mapa
Datun Map Poster & Print
Datun lies in the far north of Jiangsu, in Xuzhou's Pei County, on the low plain that stretches toward the lakes along the border with Shandong. The land is flat and intensively farmed. On a map the town appears as a compact set of straight roads and rectangular blocks, surrounded by field boundaries and villages arranged in a regular pattern.
The area is associated with coal mining, and much of its modern growth came with the mines and related industry developed in the second half of the twentieth century. As a result, the street layout is mostly planned rather than historic, with broad roads, residential compounds and industrial sites arranged around a small commercial centre.
A Datun map poster renders that planned geometry in clean black and white: the gridded town, the lines of rural roads, and the water that begins to appear toward the east, where the plain gives way to the lake district. It is a quiet, precise keepsake for families connected to the town and its industry.

Rural road pattern
Beyond the edge of town, farm roads and village clusters are set out in a regular pattern across the plain. They fill the frame with fine, even lines.
Toward the lakes
East of Datun the plain gives way to the Weishan Lake area, where channels and open water begin to appear. That side of the map has a softer outline.

Bakit Datun
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Places like Datun rarely appear on postcards, which makes a map of them more personal. For people who grew up near the mines, or who moved on to Xuzhou, Shanghai or further, a print of the home streets is a lasting reminder of where they started.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free 900 px preview shows the result before you buy the $9 HD files, which come without a watermark.
