Creek-cut shoreline
Creeks and coves cut deep into the peninsula from Back River and Middle River. Their jagged edges make the coastline the map's most distinctive feature.

Ang mapa
Essex Map Poster & Print
Essex lies in Baltimore County, east of the city of Baltimore, on a peninsula between Back River and Middle River where they open into the Chesapeake Bay. On a map, it is defined by water. Long, narrow creeks reach into the land from both sides, and residential streets run down to the shoreline, ending at small inlets and coves.
The area grew rapidly in the twentieth century with the expansion of heavy industry around Baltimore, including the Glenn L. Martin aircraft company at nearby Middle River. Its neighbourhoods reflect that era, with modest grids of houses laid out on the land between the creeks. Parks and marshes line parts of the waterfront.
An Essex map poster shows a suburb shaped by an intricate coastline. It has fingers of water, dead-end streets running down to the shore and the open bay to the southeast. It is a detailed, unusual composition for anyone who knows this part of Maryland.

Waterfront streets
Many residential streets run straight to the water and end there. From above they form rows of short parallel lines meeting the shore.
Open Chesapeake
To the southeast, the peninsula opens onto the Chesapeake Bay. The expanse of water gives the composition breathing room.

Bakit Essex
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Essex is a place of waterfront homes, boat ramps and long family ties. A map with the name of your street, your family or the year you bought the house as the title turns that particular shoreline into something to keep.
Blueprint and Noir make the creeks stand out dramatically, and Paper and Sand give a softer coastal feel. Classic black & white is the most versatile option. The 18×24 and 24×36 inch sizes are included for US frames.
