Via Emilia axis
The Roman road runs through the plain as a strong straight line, a reminder that Fidenza, like Parma and Piacenza, grew along this ancient route.

Ang mapa
Fidenza Map Poster & Print
Fidenza lies in the province of Parma, on the Via Emilia, the Roman road that still organises the towns of the Po plain. From above, the historic centre is a compact knot of streets, with the long straight of the ancient route running past it and newer districts spreading across the flat farmland.
Until the twentieth century the town was called Borgo San Donnino. It was an important stop on the Via Francigena, the pilgrim route to Rome, and its cathedral is known for Romanesque sculpture associated with the workshop of Benedetto Antelami. Its façade is one of the region's most studied.
A Fidenza map poster shows how clearly the town sits within the Emilian landscape: the dense old core, the railway, the ring of later neighbourhoods and the orderly field pattern beyond. It is a quiet, well-proportioned plan, very characteristic of this part of northern Italy.

Cathedral quarter
The historic centre around the Romanesque cathedral forms the densest part of the map, with short, irregular streets packed within the old town outline.
Po plain fields
Around the town, the land is divided into regular agricultural plots, giving the edges of the poster a calm geometric texture.

Bakit Fidenza
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Fidenza is meaningful to pilgrims on the Via Francigena, to people from the Parma area and to travellers who stopped on the road through Emilia. The plan works well as a thoughtful souvenir or a reminder of home.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps the date of a walk or a family event. The print comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
