Historic centre
The old town is a small cluster of narrow streets on raised ground. It is visibly denser than the neighbourhoods around it.

Ang mapa
Guéret Map Poster & Print
Guéret is the prefecture of the Creuse department in central France. It is one of the smallest administrative capitals in the country. The town sits on rolling upland ground, with its compact historic centre on a gentle rise. Boulevards and main roads loop around the core, and residential streets spread out into the green countryside.
North and south of the town, the land is wooded and hilly. The Chabrières forest lies just to the south, known for a park where wolves live in semi-freedom. That closeness to forest and farmland gives the map its character. The urban area ends quickly, and scattered hamlets, roads and small ponds take over.
A Guéret map poster shows a modest, well-defined French town. The centre is tight and irregular, the roads leading in and out are organised around a loose ring, and the countryside around it is broken up by woodland and field boundaries. It is a map with a clear middle and quiet edges.

Ring of boulevards
Main roads curve around the centre and distribute traffic out toward the rest of Creuse. They draw a loose loop at the heart of the map.
Chabrières forest
Wooded hills rise just south of the town. On the poster they read as a wide, open area that sets off the streets.
