Asakawa River
The river runs west to east through the city. Its course and bridges draw a clear line between the central districts and the neighbourhoods to the south.

Hachiōji Map Poster & Print
Hachiōji lies in the far west of the Tokyo Metropolis, in a basin ringed by the low mountains of the Tama region. On a map the centre forms a compact grid around the main railway stations, while the edges dissolve into valleys, hills and green slopes. The Asakawa River threads through from west to east and gives the layout a gentle central axis.
The city grew as a post town on the Kōshū Kaidō, one of the historic highways leading west from Edo, and the old route still traces a line through the centre. Today Hachiōji is also known for its many universities. Their campuses appear on the map as large, self-contained clusters set into the hills, each with its own curving internal roads.
At the western boundary rises Mount Takao, a popular hiking peak reachable by train from central Tokyo. A Hachiōji map poster shows the shift from tight blocks near the stations to winding roads along wooded ridges and new housing cut into the slopes. It is a Tokyo map that looks nothing like the dense grids of the inner wards.

Kōshū Kaidō
The route of the old highway west still crosses the centre, a reminder of the post town from which modern Hachiōji grew.
Hillside campuses
University grounds sit among the hills as distinct shapes, with looping internal roads and open spaces that stand apart from the surrounding residential streets.

Bakit Hachiōji
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Many people pass through Hachiōji as students, spend four years among its hills and never quite forget it. Others know it as the gateway to Mount Takao. For both, a map of the city captures a side of Tokyo that feels quieter and greener.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a graduation year or the name of a campus. Choose one of five styles, from the crisp Blueprint to the soft Paper. Then download HD files or order a matte print, with an optional wooden frame.
