Ang mapa
Igatpuri Map Poster & Print
Igatpuri sits high in the Western Ghats in Nashik district, at the top of the climb from the Konkan lowlands. From above, the railway is one of the defining lines. The Mumbai–Nashik line climbs the Kasara ghat nearby, and Igatpuri grew as an important railway town. Its streets spread across a hilly plateau with the tracks and a major highway running alongside.
The countryside around is dramatic. Ridges and hills rise in every direction, and reservoirs and lakes sit in the valleys. Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra, is not far away. During the monsoon the hills turn green and waterfalls appear, which draws visitors from Mumbai and Nashik.
Igatpuri is also known for the Dhamma Giri meditation centre, one of the main centres of Vipassana teaching. An Igatpuri map poster shows a compact hill town with railway lines and a highway cutting through, surrounded by broken, rugged ground, a strong composition for anyone who loves mountains.

Hill terrain
Around the plateau, roads twist through valleys and around ridges, sketching the steep, broken landscape of the Western Ghats.
Lakes and reservoirs
Bodies of water collect in the low ground near the town, and their irregular shapes add soft forms to the edges of the map.

Bakit Igatpuri
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Igatpuri means different things to different people: a monsoon getaway, a meditation retreat, a railway stop on a long journey. A map of it keeps that memory in a quiet, graphic form.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps the date of a retreat or trip, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
