The cape
Jask occupies a low headland projecting into the Gulf of Oman. Its outline, with water on three sides, is the most recognisable feature on the map.

Ang mapa
Jask Map Poster & Print
Jask lies on Iran's southeastern coast in Hormozgan province, on a small cape reaching into the Gulf of Oman east of the Strait of Hormuz. From above, the town sits on a low, flat spit of land. The sea curves around it, and a long, empty shoreline runs east and west, backed by arid plains and distant hills.
The Jask map poster is defined by its coastline. The cape gives the town an unusual outline, water wraps around much of the built-up area, and the streets are set out on a fairly regular plan between the shore and the airport and port facilities. Beyond the town, few roads cross a landscape of sand, lagoons and dry riverbeds.
Jask's position near the entrance to the Persian Gulf has long made it strategically important. In the nineteenth century it was a station on the Indo-European telegraph line linking Britain and India. Today it is home to port and naval facilities and the terminal of a major oil pipeline, while the town itself remains small and quiet.

Open shoreline
Long, smooth beaches stretch away from the town in both directions. They form a clean line between the sea's white space and the sparse desert inland.
Regular town plan
The streets are laid out on a simple, fairly regular pattern between the shore and larger infrastructure sites, which gives a compact core against the open landscape.

Bakit Jask
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Jask's coastal outline makes an unusually graphic poster: a small town held between sea and desert. It suits anyone with ties to Hormozgan or an interest in maritime history and strategic coastlines.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Blueprint suits the coastline especially well. The $9 files have no watermark and include six sizes.
