The Shaying River
The river runs beside the city and gives the flat plain its main curve. On the poster it contrasts with the straight streets of the grid.

Ang mapa
Jieshou Map Poster & Print
Jieshou is a county-level city in northwestern Anhui, under Fuyang, near the border with Henan. It sits on the wide Huaibei plain, where the land is flat and mostly farmed. The Shaying River, a major tributary of the Huai, runs past the city. On the map, it is the main natural line in an otherwise open landscape.
The city itself has a dense older centre and newer districts around it, laid out in a broad grid with long, straight avenues. Industrial zones are on the edges. Beyond them, fields, irrigation channels and village roads cover the plain in a fine, regular pattern.
Jieshou is known for its painted pottery, a traditional craft recognised as intangible cultural heritage in China. A Jieshou map poster shows a typical city of the North China Plain, with a clear grid, a river and farmland stretching in every direction.

New avenues
Newer districts are laid out with wide, straight avenues and large blocks. From above they form a clear geometric pattern around the older, denser centre.
Plain and channels
Beyond the city, fields and irrigation channels cover the land in a fine grid. They extend to the edges of the map and frame the urban area.

Bakit Jieshou
Isang mapang may kahulugan
For those who grew up in Jieshou and moved to Hefei, Shanghai or abroad, a clean map of the river and grid makes a quiet reminder of home. Put the name in Chinese or pinyin in the title and add a family name, date or coordinates.
Classic suits the grid well, Paper and Sand bring warmth, and Noir or Blueprint make a bolder print. Buy the $9 files and print them locally in any of six sizes, or order a printed poster from a partner in more than 30 countries.
