Cachoeira River
The river runs through the centre of the city and on towards the bay. It creates a winding line that divides the urban grid.

Ang mapa
Joinville Map Poster & Print
Joinville is the largest city in Santa Catarina. It lies between the forested slopes of the Serra do Mar and the calm waters of Babitonga Bay. It was founded in 1851 by German, Swiss and Norwegian immigrants, and the centre still follows the old colony plan, with streets laid out along the valleys and the Cachoeira River.
The river winds through the heart of the city before opening into the bay's wetlands and mangroves. To the west the streets end against steep green hills. Industrial districts and residential neighbourhoods spread across the flat land in between, giving the map a varied texture.
Joinville has a notable claim in the arts. It is home to the only school of the Bolshoi Ballet outside Russia, and it hosts a large annual dance festival. A Joinville map poster shows a well-organised southern Brazilian city held between mountain and water.

Babitonga Bay
Wetlands and mangroves to the east lead into a large sheltered bay. The water adds wide, irregular open spaces to the edge of the print.
Serra do Mar slopes
Forested hills close off the city's western side. Streets stop at their base, giving Joinville a clear boundary on the map.

Bakit Joinville
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Joinville has deep family roots for many people in southern Brazil. A map of its river, hills and bay is a quiet reminder of the city where they grew up, worked or danced.
Set your own title and subtitle, perhaps a neighbourhood or a special date, and edit the coordinates line. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
