The inhabited area is small and compact. Its group of buildings and paths forms the centre of an otherwise open composition.

Ang mapa
Kamabi Map Poster & Print
Kamabi lies in the north of Guinea's Boké Region, in savanna and open woodland near the borders with Senegal and Guinea-Bissau. Few buildings dot this landscape, and it is far from the coastal ports and the mining areas further south in the region. On a map, the settlement appears as a small group of buildings and paths within a wide expanse of land crossed by a few roads and tracks.
The pattern here is rural, not urban. Houses stand in small groups, and paths connect them in irregular lines that follow the practical routes of daily life rather than any plan. Seasonal streams cross the land around the settlement, and fields and grazing land spread out between the groups of houses, giving the countryside a loose, patchy texture.
A Kamabi map poster turns a place that most atlases mark only with a dot into something with shape and detail. The small cluster of buildings, the tracks leading toward neighbouring villages and the broad open land around them make an understated, almost abstract print. It is a map for people who know this corner of Guinea personally.

Connecting tracks
Roads and footpaths lead out toward other villages and farmland. These thin, irregular lines give the map its sense of direction and movement.
Open savanna
Around the settlement, wide areas of grassland and scattered woodland have few mapped features, which creates calm empty space across much of the print.
