Kisesa lies a short drive east of Mwanza, along the main road that leads out of the city and around the lake. From above, the town looks like a spine with branches. One strong arterial line carries most of the traffic, and a loose web of smaller tracks reaches out from it into fields and scattered homesteads. The country around Mwanza is known for its granite boulders and rounded rocky hills, and they leave clear marks on a street map.
