Ang mapa
Kotharia Map Poster & Print
Kotharia lies just south of Rajkot, in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, and its map is a snapshot of a city expanding outward. The original village core is still visible as a small, irregular knot of lanes. Around it, newer residential societies are laid out in tidy rectangular grids, and larger plots mark workshops and industrial units.
Rajkot is one of Gujarat's major industrial and commercial centres, and much of that growth has spread into places like Kotharia. Main roads link the area to the city, and the density of streets increases as you move north. To the south and east, the plain opens up into farmland with long field boundaries.
A Kotharia map poster captures this transition between old village, planned housing, industry and fields in a single frame. The different patterns sit side by side, giving the composition an unusual variety for such a small area. It is a map for people who live and work there and have watched it change.

Residential societies
Planned housing colonies form neat grids of short, parallel streets. Their regular geometry sets them apart from the older village and the open land around them.
Road to Rajkot
Main roads run north into the city, and the street network grows denser along them. They show the direction in which the suburb has grown.
