Railway terminus
The branch line from Guntur finishes in Mācherla, so the tracks draw a single straight approach that stops at the town, a small but telling detail on the printed plan.

Ang mapa
Mācherla Map Poster & Print
Mācherla sits in the Palnadu country of Andhra Pradesh, a region of low red-soil plateaus, scrub and farmland in the interior of the state. On a map the town reads as a dense core of short, irregular streets, thinning out into newer blocks and field boundaries. Roads leave it in several directions, and the railway line from Guntur ends here, which gives the plan a clear edge on one side.
The Krishna River runs a short distance to the west, and the Nagarjuna Sagar dam lies upstream within easy driving range, so the town has long served as a gateway for visitors heading to the reservoir. The Palnadu area is also remembered in Telugu tradition for the medieval Battle of Palnadu, a story still retold in the region's folk performances.
A Mācherla map poster keeps all of this in the language of line: the knot of old lanes, the straight run of the railway, the roads fanning outward toward villages and the river. Printed without colour, the plan becomes a quiet portrait of an inland Andhra town, recognisable to anyone who grew up there or passed through on the way to the dam.

Road to the reservoir
Routes heading west link the town with the Krishna and the Nagarjuna Sagar area, appearing as long, lightly curving lines across open country.
Dense old core
The centre is a tight cluster of short lanes and small blocks, contrasting with the looser pattern of newer housing that spreads toward the outskirts.

Bakit Mācherla
Isang mapang may kahulugan
For families from Palnadu, a map of Mācherla is a way of keeping home on the wall: the streets walked to school, the station, the road out to the fields. It suits a study or hallway, where a detailed plan can be read slowly.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a meaningful date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
