Tilted downtown
The original town streets run parallel to the railroad on a diagonal, creating a rotated grid at the centre of an otherwise north–south street pattern.

Ang mapa
Nampa Map Poster & Print
Nampa is in Canyon County, west of Boise, in the Treasure Valley of southwestern Idaho. It began as a railroad town in the 1880s, and the map still shows that. The downtown grid is aligned to the tracks, running on a diagonal, while the newer neighbourhoods follow the north–south section lines of the surrounding farmland.
The two grids meet at odd angles, which gives Nampa's street map an unusual shape. Interstate 84 runs across the north side of the city. To the southwest lies Lake Lowell, an irrigation reservoir inside Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, and canals wind through the fields and subdivisions around it.
A Nampa map poster makes the history of the town visible: a tilted railroad downtown, a square farm grid around it, and canals and the lake adding curves. It is a clear example of how the American West was surveyed and settled, drawn in simple lines.

Lake Lowell
An irrigation reservoir southwest of the city, set in the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, provides a large open water shape at the edge of the map.
Irrigation canals
Canals wind across the valley floor, cutting diagonally through fields and neighbourhoods and softening the rigid lines of the land survey grid.

Bakit Nampa
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Nampa has grown quickly, and many people living there arrived recently, while others have families that have farmed the valley for generations. A map of the city captures both the old railroad heart and the newer neighbourhoods around it.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a street, a family name or a move-in date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 HD download or a printed poster shipped from a US print partner.
