Ang mapa
Narasapur Map Poster & Print
Narasapur lies in the Godavari delta in coastal Andhra Pradesh, on the Vasishta branch of the Godavari River, a short distance from where it meets the Bay of Bengal. On a map, the broad river is the dominant feature, and the town lines its bank, with streets running parallel to the water and lanes reaching down to it.
Around the town, the delta is flat and green, crossed by canals, paddy fields and coconut groves. Waterways divide the land into long narrow strips, and small villages string out along roads and embankments. Toward the coast, the map breaks up into creeks and tidal land.
Narasapur is well known for crochet lace, a craft that has employed women across the region for generations and is sold far beyond India. The temple town of Antarvedi, at the river mouth, lies nearby. A Narasapur map poster puts the river first, with the town and the watery delta around it.

Delta canals
Irrigation canals and embankments divide the surrounding farmland. They make a fine network of straight and gently curving lines.
Toward the sea
South of the town, the river widens and the land splits into creeks and tidal flats on its way to the Bay of Bengal.
