Black Warrior River
The river curves along Northport's southern edge in a wide, graceful band. It separates the town from Tuscaloosa and gives the poster a strong anchor.

Ang mapa
Northport Map Poster & Print
Northport lies on the north bank of the Black Warrior River, directly across from Tuscaloosa. On the map, the river is the defining feature. It is a wide band that curves between the two cities, crossed by a few bridges that tie Northport's streets to the larger city on the south bank.
The older part of town, near the river, has a modest downtown with a simple grid. Further north, the plan loosens into winding residential roads, cul-de-sacs and wooded lots. They follow the gentle hills and creeks of west Alabama. Highways run out towards the countryside and give the map its longer lines.
Northport is known for the Kentuck Festival of the Arts, an annual celebration of folk and contemporary art that draws visitors from across the South. A Northport map poster shows the town on its own terms. The river, the bridges, the compact old centre and the green suburbs appear as one clear, balanced composition.

River crossings
Bridges cross the river and connect Northport's streets with Tuscaloosa. They form short, strong links that tie the two sides of the map together.
Wooded suburbs
North of the old centre, residential roads curve through wooded hills and around creeks. Their loose, looping pattern softens the upper half of the print.

Bakit Northport
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Northport is where many University of Alabama graduates, faculty and families have settled. A map of it makes a good graduation gift or a housewarming present. It also appeals to anyone who has spent an autumn weekend at Kentuck or watched the river from the bluffs.
