Hill country
The town sits among rocky rises and shallow valleys, so its roads bend and branch with the terrain. This gives the map an irregular but natural outline.

Ang mapa
Oke Mesi Map Poster & Print
Oke Mesi is a town in the east of Osun State in south-western Nigeria, close to the border with Ekiti State. As the name suggests, it is hill country. The ground here is broken by rocky rises and small valleys, and from above the streets follow the land rather than any strict plan. They meet at the town centre and then spread out along the roads to neighbouring communities.
The surrounding area is mostly farmland and patches of forest, with footpaths and minor roads linking the towns and villages of the Ijesa and Ekiti districts. There is little that is monumental here. What the map shows well is how a Yoruba town is organised: a clear core, a web of lanes around it, and farmland running out towards the next settlement.
An Oke Mesi map poster suits the scale of the place. The main roads are drawn strong, the smaller lanes fine, and the space between them is left open. The effect is spare and balanced. For someone from the town, it is a precise and personal picture of home, and it reads well at every print size.

Town core
The main roads meet in a denser centre and then spread outwards. The result is the classic radiating pattern of a Yoruba market town.
Borderland roads
Minor roads lead east towards Ekiti and west towards the Ijesa towns. They are thin lines on the poster, linking Oke Mesi to its neighbours.
