Ang mapa
Or Akiva Map Poster & Print
Or Akiva lies on Israel's coastal plain, just inland from the Mediterranean and next to Caesarea. It was founded in the early 1950s as a town for new immigrants, and the map still shows that start. The neighbourhoods are planned, with apartment blocks set in rows and loops and main streets that link one district to the next.
The coastal highway runs close by, and the lines of the regional roads show how the town connects to Hadera to the south and Haifa to the north. Between the built-up areas there are open plots, orchards and agricultural land. The pale ground of the coastal plain gives the street network plenty of room on the page.
The town takes its name from Rabbi Akiva, one of the best-known sages of early rabbinic Judaism. An Or Akiva map poster shows a place built quickly and then filled in over the decades since, with newer housing added at its edges. The result is a clear, legible plan that suits a minimal black-and-white print.

Beside Caesarea
The town sits right next to Caesarea and the coast, so a wider frame can take in the edge of the Mediterranean shoreline to the west.
Coastal plain roads
Regional roads and the nearby coastal highway run in long, straight lines across the flat plain and give the composition its structure.

Bakit Or Akiva
Isang mapang may kahulugan
For families who arrived here in the town's early years, and for the generations born since, Or Akiva is a personal map as much as a place. A framed print keeps that neighbourhood close, whether it hangs in the town itself or in a home far from the coast.
Add a title in your own words, a subtitle such as a family name or a founding year, and your chosen coordinates. The print comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
