Ang mapa
Payandé Map Poster & Print
Payandé is a settlement in the Colombian department of Tolima, within the municipality of San Luis, in the hilly country south of Ibagué. The built-up area is modest, with a small cluster of streets around a centre. Beyond it, roads wind across uneven terrain, and the map is quickly dominated by the open shapes of the surrounding hills.
The area is known for its limestone, and quarrying and cement production have long been part of the local economy. That industry leaves its own marks on the land around the settlement. The broader landscape is warm and relatively dry compared with the higher Andean slopes nearby.
A Payandé map poster is a study of a small place in a large landscape. There is a compact knot of streets and a few roads curving away through the hills. Most of the sheet is left to the terrain. The result is spare and quiet, suited to a place that rarely appears on printed maps at all.

Winding roads
Roads leaving town curve to follow the hills, drawing loose, organic lines that contrast with the short, straight streets of the centre.
Limestone country
The hills around Payandé are shaped by stone and quarrying, and appear on the map as wide areas with very few lines.

Bakit Payandé
Isang mapang may kahulugan
For people from Payandé and San Luis, a map of such a small place is rare, which is exactly what makes it personal. It records home at a scale where every street belongs to someone you know.
You can set the title, add a subtitle with a name or date, and edit the coordinates line. Pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand matches the warm, dry landscape.
