Hill-following streets
The town's streets bend and climb with the terrain instead of forming a straight grid. From above, the town looks organic, shaped more by hills than by planning.

Ang mapa
Piedade Map Poster & Print
Piedade lies in the hills of the Sorocaba region in São Paulo state, where the land rises and falls in rounded hills. The town's streets do not follow a strict grid. They bend with the terrain, climbing ridges and following valleys, and the map shows that uneven, adaptive layout clearly.
The municipality is mainly agricultural, and the countryside around the town is divided into many small farms producing vegetables and fruit for the markets of São Paulo and Sorocaba. On the map, the farms appear as a fine network of rural roads spreading through the hills in all directions.
A Piedade map poster shows a compact town centre surrounded by winding roads. The central streets are tighter and slightly more regular. Outside them, the roads fan out along the contours and create a delicate, branching pattern that gives the poster much of its character.

Compact centre
The centre of Piedade is a small, dense cluster of blocks. It stands out as the darkest part of the map, surrounded by more scattered building.
Rural road network
Narrow roads lead out to the many small farms around the town. They form a fine, branching web that fills the edges of the poster.
