The valley corridor
The town stretches along a narrow valley, and its main streets run with it. This gives the map a long, directional shape.

Ang mapa
Salgótarján Map Poster & Print
Salgótarján is the seat of Nógrád county in northern Hungary, close to the Slovak border. The town developed along a narrow valley, and its map shows that clearly: the main streets run lengthwise through the valley floor, and side streets climb the slopes on either side before the hills take over.
Its growth came from coal mining and steelmaking, and many districts took shape around these industries. The town centre was substantially rebuilt in the second half of the twentieth century, and its modernist blocks are laid out differently from the older, smaller streets around them.
In the hills nearby are the ruins of Salgó and Somoskő castles, set on old volcanic peaks. A Salgótarján map poster captures the town's elongated form, with dense streets squeezed into the valley and wooded high ground on both sides.

Bakit Salgótarján
Isang mapang may kahulugan
The print suits people from Nógrád, families with roots in the mining and steel towns, and anyone who knows the hills of northern Hungary. The unusual long valley shape makes it distinctive on a wall.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, including in Hungarian with accents. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Noir suits the town's industrial character.
