Ang mapa
Selden Map Poster & Print
Selden is a hamlet in the Town of Brookhaven, in the middle of Suffolk County on Long Island. It has no grand old core. Instead, the map shows a spread of suburban streets, laid out in neighbourhood-sized patterns that meet one another at slight angles, with larger commercial strips along the main roads.
Middle Country Road, also known as Route 25, runs east to west through the hamlet and serves as its main axis, lined with shops and plazas. Selden is also home to the Ammerman campus of Suffolk County Community College, whose grounds form a noticeable open area within the residential fabric.
A Selden map poster shows the grain of mid-island suburbia: curving residential lanes, cul-de-sacs, straight arterial roads and the green breaks of parks and school grounds. In monochrome, it becomes a surprisingly intricate drawing, with each neighbourhood carrying its own slightly different pattern.

Ammerman campus
Suffolk County Community College's main campus occupies a broad parcel among the houses, its buildings and open grounds breaking up the surrounding residential pattern.
Neighbourhood patterns
Subdivisions built at different times fit together like tiles, each with its own loops and dead ends, giving the map a varied, detailed texture.

Bakit Selden
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Selden is the kind of place people remember by its specific streets: the road to school, the first apartment, the route to the college. A map poster gives those everyday routes a lasting, framed form.
Write your own title and subtitle, add coordinates or a date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame, and the digital files are $9.
