Ang mapa
Tequixquiac Map Poster & Print
Tequixquiac lies in the State of Mexico, north of Mexico City, near the edge of the basin that holds the capital. The town occupies uneven ground, and on the map its streets bend with the terrain, gathering around a central core with a church and plaza and spreading outward along roads to neighbouring communities. Farmland fills much of the surrounding landscape.
The town has an unusual place in history. It gave its name to the Tequixquiac sacrum, a carved animal bone discovered in the nineteenth century and considered one of the earliest known works of art in the Americas. It is also associated with the drainage tunnels built to carry water out of the Valley of Mexico, a vast engineering project that crosses this area.
A Tequixquiac map poster shows a compact town in a layered landscape of fields, hills and waterworks. It suits people with family in the northern State of Mexico and anyone interested in the quieter places around the capital.

Terrain-shaped streets
The town's streets curve and slope with the uneven ground, so the plan looks irregular rather than gridded, especially toward the edges.
Valley drainage works
Channels associated with the drainage of the Valley of Mexico cross the landscape near the town, adding long, deliberate lines to the rural surroundings.
