Road to Thanjavur
The main road runs east toward Thanjavur and anchors the town. Most of the dense streets and shops cluster along this line.

Ang mapa
Vallam Map Poster & Print
Vallam is in Thanjavur district in Tamil Nadu, a short distance west of Thanjavur. The land here differs from the flat, irrigated delta to the east. Vallam sits on slightly higher, drier ground, and the map shows it. Instead of a dense network of canals and paddy strips, the town is surrounded by more open land crossed by roads.
The town's streets gather along the main road toward Thanjavur and then spread out into residential lanes and institutional campuses. Large compounds appear on the map as broad, lightly built areas with internal paths. Farther out, the pattern breaks into individual plots and tracks.
The Vallam map poster is a map of the transition between delta and upland: to one side, the edge of one of South India's great rice regions; to the other, a drier and more open landscape. It is a modest subject, but one with a clear sense of place for anyone who knows the Thanjavur area.

Upland openness
Compared with the canal-laced delta nearby, the land around Vallam is more open. The map is lighter, with longer stretches between roads.
Campus compounds
Large institutional grounds appear as broad enclosed shapes with internal paths. They break up the finer grain of the residential streets.

Bakit Vallam
Isang mapang may kahulugan
Vallam matters to people who studied, worked or grew up on the western edge of Thanjavur. A map is a restrained way to mark a place tied to a degree, a first job or a family home.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a graduation year or a family name. Five styles are available. Sand suits the dry upland, and Classic black & white keeps the roads crisp.
