The railway runs through the town as its main axis. Station tracks and sidings form the widest, most prominent band on the map.

Ang mapa
Vyazemskiy Map Poster & Print
Vyazemskiy is a small town in the south of Khabarovsk Krai, on the Trans-Siberian Railway between Khabarovsk and Vladivostok. The railway shaped the town. On the map, the tracks and station yard form a strong line running roughly north to south, and the streets are laid out parallel and perpendicular to them. Beyond the town lies the broad, low valley of the Ussuri River.
The settlement began as a station on the Ussuri railway at the end of the nineteenth century. It was named after Orest Vyazemsky, an engineer who led construction of that line. The town's grid still reflects that railway logic: straight streets, regular blocks of wooden houses and apartment buildings, and a centre that looks toward the station.
A Vyazemskiy map poster shows a clear geometry: rail line, grid and open country around it. The composition is simple and firm, with the tracks at its core. For anyone who knows the Russian Far East, it captures the typical form of a railway town at the far end of the continent.

Railway grid
Streets align with the tracks in a regular pattern of rectangular blocks, a legacy of the town's origins as a railway settlement.
Ussuri lowland
West of the town, the land opens toward the Ussuri River valley. On the print, that open space surrounds the compact built-up area.
