Belvidere Map Poster & Print
Belvidere is the county seat of Boone County in northern Illinois, east of Rockford. From above, the Kishwaukee River winds through the city, with a traditional Midwestern grid of streets on either side. Rail lines and main roads cross the town, and newer neighbourhoods and farmland extend outward over the flat prairie.
The city is best known for its large automobile assembly plant, which for decades gave Belvidere an outsized role in the region's industry. The plant's extensive site and car parks appear as a large, distinct block on the map, very different from the fine grid of the older streets.
A Belvidere map poster brings those elements together: the curving river, the orderly downtown grid, the straight rail line and the large industrial footprint. The surrounding prairie is shown as open space, which gives the town a clear edge. It is a strong, honest image of a Midwestern manufacturing town.

Assembly plant site
The large auto plant occupies a broad site on the edge of the city. It appears on the map as an unmistakable block of industrial scale.
