East Norwalk Map Poster & Print
East Norwalk lies on the Connecticut shore of Long Island Sound, on the eastern side of Norwalk Harbor. On a map, its residential streets run down toward the water, and the coastline breaks into small points, coves and beaches. The Norwalk River flows into the harbour to the west. The railway and main roads cross the northern part of the area on their way along the coast.
The waterfront defines the neighbourhood. Calf Pasture Beach and nearby parks take up a wide stretch of the shore. Across the harbour, the Norwalk Islands form a chain offshore. The Metro-North line stops here, linking the area to Stamford and New York. The neighbourhood is part of Norwalk rather than a separate city, and it has the feel of a quiet coastal residential area.
An East Norwalk map poster captures the meeting of land and water. The harbour's inlets and the beach parks give the design strong natural shapes, while regular residential streets fill the land behind them. In monochrome, the coastline becomes the main line of the composition.
