Edmundston Map Poster & Print
Edmundston sits in the northwest corner of New Brunswick, at the point where the Madawaska River flows into the Saint John River. The Saint John forms the international border here, and the town of Madawaska, Maine, lies directly across it. The city centre is built on the slopes above the confluence, with streets climbing from the rivers into the hills behind.
Edmundston is a largely French-speaking city and the heart of the Madawaska region. Residents often refer, with humour, to the République du Madawaska, a local identity with its own flag. The paper mill on the riverbank has long been one of its main employers, and a bridge links the city with Maine across the Saint John.
An Edmundston map poster is shaped by water and slopes. Two rivers meet in the centre of the frame, the border follows the Saint John, and streets fan out across the hillsides. In black and white, the composition is both clear and dramatic, a strong portrait of a city sitting at the junction of rivers, languages and countries.

Border river
The Saint John marks the boundary between Canada and the United States, and a bridge connects Edmundston with Madawaska, Maine, on the far bank.
Hillside streets
Residential streets climb the slopes above the rivers in curving lines, giving the map layers of development rising away from the water.
