Regular grid
The city's streets form a very even grid of square blocks. On paper this creates a calm, almost textile texture across the centre of the sheet.

Fernandópolis Map Poster & Print
Fernandópolis is a city in the far northwest of São Paulo state, a region of rolling farmland between the Paraná and Grande rivers. Like many towns founded during the westward expansion of the twentieth century, it was laid out with a plan. On the map, its streets form an even grid of square blocks, with the central square and main church near the middle.
Around the city, the land is used for agriculture and livestock, and the fields and pastures extend to the horizon in soft, irregular shapes. Highways connect Fernandópolis to the other cities in the region, and the town serves as a local centre for commerce, services and education in the surrounding municipalities.
A Fernandópolis map poster shows the clarity of a planned town. The grid is almost perfectly regular, the main avenues stand out as slightly wider lines, and the surrounding countryside frames the city with open space. It is a clean, balanced composition for anyone from the region who appreciates the order of the place where they grew up.

Central square
The main square and church sit near the middle of the grid. They appear as a small open space from which the main avenues lead outward.
Farmland edge
Fields and pastures surround the city, broken up by highways and rural roads. They give the grid a clear boundary and leave plenty of white space.
