Valley-floor settlement
The built-up area follows the lower ground, where water and farmland are available. That placement gives the town a compact, slightly elongated form.

Ghormach Map Poster & Print
Ghormach lies in northwestern Afghanistan, in the borderland between Badghis and Faryab provinces, not far from Turkmenistan. It is a rural district centre in rolling, largely dry country. Most settlement clusters where water allows farming, along valley floors and seasonal streams.
On a map the town is small and modest. Its streets gather into a compact centre, with roads and tracks leading out along the valleys to surrounding villages. Beyond the built-up area, open ground dominates, and field boundaries follow the watercourses. The simplicity is what gives the map its strength: a few clear lines set against a wide, quiet landscape.
A Ghormach map poster is above all a personal object. It suits people from the district who now live elsewhere in Afghanistan or abroad, and who want to keep the place of their family visible at home. The layout is sparse, so it works well in the calmer Paper and Sand styles.

Radiating tracks
Roads and tracks lead out across the hills to outlying villages. They form thin, branching lines that connect the centre to its wider district.
Open surrounding land
Wide areas of the map carry few features beyond the land itself. This openness frames the small town and gives the poster a calm, spacious feel.
