Schloss Dyck
The moated castle and its landscape park form one of the most distinctive shapes on the map. Water channels, avenues and wooded grounds create a formal pattern amid the farmland.

Jüchen Map Poster & Print
Jüchen is a municipality in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss in North Rhine-Westphalia, west of Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach. It is not one compact town but a group of villages spread across flat, fertile farmland. From above, each village is a small cluster of streets linked to its neighbours by country roads, with fields filling the spaces between them.
Two features give Jüchen an unusual map. The first is Schloss Dyck, a moated castle set in a large landscape park, with its water and tree-lined avenues drawing a clear geometric pattern. The second is the Garzweiler lignite mine, which borders the municipality. Its enormous excavated area has redrawn the landscape, and some villages were relocated as it expanded.
A Jüchen map poster records a landscape that is still changing. Old village centres, the formal lines of the castle grounds and the hard edge of the mine sit side by side in one frame. For anyone connected to the area, this makes the print a record of a particular moment in the region's history, as well as a picture of home.

Garzweiler's edge
The open-cast lignite mine borders Jüchen. On the map it appears as a large void with a sharp boundary, a striking contrast to the fine grain of the surrounding villages.
Village network
Several separate village cores, each with its own small street pattern, are connected by country roads. Together they give the poster a scattered, constellation-like composition.
