Butte-aux-Cailles
A small hill of narrow, winding streets and low buildings. On the map it stands out as an irregular knot among the straighter blocks around it.

Maison Blanche Map Poster & Print
Maison Blanche is one of the four administrative quarters of the 13th arrondissement of Paris and covers its southern part up to the city limits. On a map it is framed by broad boulevards and cut through by the Avenue d'Italie, the old route south out of the city. The Boulevard Périphérique draws its southern edge as a hard, curving line where Paris ends.
Within those borders the pattern is surprisingly varied. Around the Butte-aux-Cailles, a small hill with a village atmosphere, short streets twist and meet at odd angles. Elsewhere the grid becomes wider and more regular, with twentieth-century housing blocks and long avenues. The Bièvre river once flowed through this part of the city before it was covered over, and the ground still dips where its valley ran.
A Maison Blanche map poster is for anyone who has lived in this part of Paris and knows it by its own name, not as a slice of the whole city. Parc Kellermann adds a patch of green near the southern edge, and the Place d'Italie, where several major avenues meet, marks the northern boundary.

Avenue d'Italie
The long, straight avenue runs south through the quarter toward the Porte d'Italie. It acts as the central axis of the composition and is a line most residents know well.
Périphérique edge
The ring road traces the southern boundary in a broad curve, with Parc Kellermann beside it, and gives the poster a clean, graphic frame at the city limit.

Zašto Maison Blanche
Karta koja nešto znači
This is a map for Parisians who want their own neighbourhood rather than the familiar postcard view of the centre: a first apartment near the Butte-aux-Cailles, a student year in the 13th, or a family that has lived there for decades.
Use the title for the street you lived on, add a date in the subtitle, and keep or remove the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
