Main street axis
The historic east–west road runs through the centre as a clear spine. The older streets branch off it at irregular angles instead of forming a grid.

Marlborough Map Poster & Print
Marlborough is one of the older inland towns in Massachusetts. It was settled in the 1650s and incorporated in 1660. On the map, its centre stretches along the historic east–west road that once carried travellers between Boston and the interior. The downtown has the long, linear shape of a place that grew along a route rather than around a square.
Water breaks up the street pattern in several places. Lakes and reservoirs sit within the city limits, and roads bend around their shores. On the western side, the interstate traces a long curve with wide interchanges. It marks the newer era of office parks and technology companies that joined the older mill and shoe-making town.
A Marlborough map poster shows both layers together. There is the irregular colonial core, with streets meeting at odd angles, and there are the tidy loops of later neighbourhoods. The town was burned during King Philip's War in 1676 and then rebuilt, so its oldest roads are among the few features that survived from its first decades.

Lakes and reservoirs
Several bodies of water appear as solid shapes inside the city. The surrounding streets follow their shorelines, which puts smooth curves into the pattern.
Interstate curve
The highway on the western edge sweeps past in a long arc with large interchange loops. It gives the poster a strong graphic edge on one side.

Zašto Marlborough
Karta koja nešto znači
Marlborough is a place people commute to, grow up in and return to. A map of its streets puts the lakes, the old main road and the newer neighbourhoods into one clear picture that feels personal without saying much.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a wedding date or a first address, and adjust the coordinates line. Noir suits the dark shapes of the lakes. Blueprint suits a home office.
