Mesquite Map Poster & Print
Mesquite lies directly east of Dallas, part of the continuous suburban landscape of the Dallas–Fort Worth area. On a map, it is outlined by major highways: Interstate 635 curves along its western side, Interstate 30 crosses in the north and Interstate 20 runs through the south. Between them, residential streets form a pattern of loops and cul-de-sacs laid out around a looser grid of arterial roads.
The town grew up along the Texas and Pacific Railway in the late nineteenth century, and the old downtown sits beside the tracks. Mesquite is widely known for its rodeo, long promoted under the title Rodeo Capital of Texas, and for Town East Mall, one of the larger shopping centres in the eastern suburbs. Creeks winding through the city bring strips of green through otherwise dense residential areas.
A Mesquite map poster presents the suburban American landscape in careful detail: interstates as bold frames, curving residential streets in between, and creeks and parks as quiet open threads. It makes a strong graphic image and a personal one, especially for families who have spent decades in the same neighbourhood or moved here and made it home.

Old downtown
The original town centre lies beside the railway tracks, a small grid of older streets that contrasts with the curving subdivisions built around it later.
Creek corridors
Creeks cut through the residential areas in winding lines, often bordered by parks and trails, adding soft open space to the tightly packed street pattern.
