Ourinhos Map Poster & Print
Ourinhos lies in the south-west of São Paulo state, close to where the Paranapanema River marks the boundary with Paraná. Its centre is laid out as a steady orthogonal grid, a plan common to towns that grew quickly in the São Paulo interior during the coffee and railway era. Blocks are even, streets run straight, and the rhythm carries on outward through newer neighbourhoods.
The railway is what shaped the town. Ourinhos grew as a junction on lines serving the interior and northern Paraná. On the map the tracks run through the urban area as a long line that the street grid has to work around, with yards and sidings leaving open strips in the fabric. Highways skirting the town add a second layer of long, sweeping lines.
An Ourinhos map poster suits this kind of place well. The grid gives the print a calm, even texture, while the railway corridor and the edges of town, where streets give way to farmland, add contrast. It is a portrait of a working inland city rather than a postcard view, and that plainness is part of its appeal.

Railway corridor
Tracks and former rail land form a continuous line through the city. It is a reminder of Ourinhos as a junction town and a strong graphic element on the poster.
River borderland
To the south, the Paranapanema River separates São Paulo from Paraná. Depending on the framing, its course gives the map a natural boundary line.
