Rāya Map Poster & Print
Rāya is a town in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, in the region long known as Braj. On a map it shows up as a compact knot of lanes and closely packed buildings, surrounded on every side by flat farmland. The older core has the irregular, tightly woven streets typical of towns in the Gangetic plain, while newer building spreads outward along the main roads.
The land here is almost perfectly level. There are no hills or coastlines, so the drawing relies entirely on human pattern: field boundaries, irrigation lines, village clusters and the roads that link them. A Rāya map poster turns this into a calm, even composition. The town sits at the centre as a darker concentration, and a web of thin lines spreads toward neighbouring villages and the district towns beyond.
Mathura and the pilgrimage towns of Braj are not far away, and the whole region has a strong cultural identity tied to the Krishna tradition. Rāya itself is mainly a working agricultural town with a market, and its map shows that plainly. It is a dense place of daily life set in a wide, cultivated landscape.

Roads across the plain
Main roads run straight out across the flat land and link Rāya to Mathura and other towns of the district. They give the map its radiating structure.
Field geometry
Farmland surrounds the town on every side. Its boundaries and small watercourses add a fine, quiet background texture to the level Braj landscape.
