From above, its older centre forms a tight knot of short streets and small blocks around the parish church, with newer residential areas unfolding around it in curving crescents and cul-de-sacs typical of Quebec suburbs.
The commuter rail line to Saint-Jérôme runs through town, and the station gives the centre a clear anchor on the map.
