Sant Pere de Ribes lies in the Garraf district south-west of Barcelona, directly inland from Sitges. Its map has two centres: the historic village of Ribes, set among the valleys at the foot of the Garraf massif, and Les Roquetes, a larger and more recent residential area laid out on the flatter ground nearby.
Around these cores, the landscape is rugged and dry, with the limestone hills of the Garraf Natural Park rising to the north and east. Roads wind through the valleys, and scattered houses and small estates dot the slopes between vineyard plots and scrubland.
