Souza Gare Map Poster & Print
Souza lies in the Littoral region of Cameroon, inland from Douala, in a green, well-watered landscape of plantations and smallholdings. The word Gare in its name points to the railway: the settlement grew around a station on the line running north from the coast. On the map, the track is one of the defining straight lines, cutting across a pattern of roads and footpaths.
Around the station, a compact centre of streets and buildings forms the busiest part of town. Roads lead out toward neighbouring communities and the main routes between Douala and the interior. Beyond the last houses, the map fills with fields and tree cover, crossed by winding tracks and the small streams typical of the humid coastal lowlands.
A Souza Gare map poster is about a single rail line and the place it helped create. Stations shaped many small towns across Africa, and here the pattern is easy to read. The tracks run through, a cluster of streets sits beside them, and farmland stretches out in every direction.

Station quarter
Streets cluster near the station and form the densest part of the settlement. This small core stands out clearly against the open land around it.
Plantation landscape
Fields and tree cover surround the town, crossed by tracks and small streams. On paper they become a soft, open texture that frames the built-up centre.
