Tabuleiro do Norte Map Poster & Print
Tabuleiro do Norte is a municipality in the east of Ceará, in the valley of the Jaguaribe River, the most important river system in the state. On the map, the town appears as a fairly regular grid of streets set close to the river, with the broad, flat valley floor on one side and the drier, open country of the sertão beyond.
The Jaguaribe's course and its seasonal floodplain shape the land around the town, where cultivated areas follow the water and give way to sparser vegetation farther out. Roads leave the town toward neighbouring municipalities along the valley, forming the main lines of movement across an otherwise quiet landscape.
A Tabuleiro do Norte map poster captures that simple, clear structure: a compact urban grid, the river running nearby and the open land around it. In black and white it becomes a calm, well-proportioned composition, a meaningful piece for people from the Jaguaribe valley who now live in Fortaleza, elsewhere in Brazil or abroad.

Regular street grid
The centre of town follows a fairly orderly grid of blocks, typical of many towns in the Brazilian northeast, which reads cleanly in black and white.
Open sertão
Beyond the town and the river valley, the drier land of the sertão leaves wide open space in the frame, making the town stand out as a clear, compact shape.
