Tanhaçu Map Poster & Print
Tanhaçu is a municipality in the interior of Bahia, in the semi-arid sertão well inland from the state's Atlantic coast. The town itself is modest, and on a map it appears as a tidy block of streets surrounded by wide, lightly marked countryside. Unpaved roads and farm tracks leave its edges in several directions, linking outlying communities scattered across a landscape of scrub and pasture.
That contrast between a small centre and a vast, quiet surrounding is the essence of a Tanhaçu map poster. The street grid gives the eye one clear focal point, while the faint lines of rural roads create a real sense of distance. In monochrome the drawing becomes spare and balanced, well suited to a wall where a busier city map would feel crowded.
Like many towns of the Bahian interior, Tanhaçu keeps a close link between its streets and the farmland beyond them, with people moving daily between the two. For those who grew up here, or who return to visit relatives, the map condenses a familiar geography: the centre, the road out of town and the open land stretching in every direction.

Radiating rural roads
Roads leave town in several directions and run as long, thin lines across the sertão toward farms, villages and neighbouring municipalities, giving the composition its reach.
Open semi-arid land
Much of the frame stays nearly empty, reflecting the thinly settled scrubland and pasture that characterise this part of interior Bahia and giving the map a calm, open feel.
