Contour-led roads
Streets bend around slopes and ridges, so the network reads as a set of soft curves instead of blocks, a direct trace of the hilly Sichuan Basin terrain.

Weituo Map Poster
Weituo sits within Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country of the Sichuan Basin. Very little here is flat, and the map shows it. Roads follow contours instead of a grid, farm tracks wind between low ridges, and the built-up area gathers where the ground allows, leaving irregular edges where slopes and fields take over.
Like many towns in the region, Weituo mixes a denser older core with newer blocks and wider roads added in recent decades. On paper the difference is easy to see: short, tight streets near the centre give way to longer, straighter roads and bigger building footprints further out. Water nearby adds curved lines that cut across the pattern.
A Weituo map poster is a portrait of a small place shaped by its terrain rather than by a planner's ruler. Printed in fine black lines, the curving roads, scattered hamlets and field paths make an intricate, almost hand-drawn texture. It is a fitting keepsake for people with family roots in the town or in rural Chongqing.

Old core, new edge
A tighter cluster of short streets at the centre contrasts with longer, straighter roads and larger plots on the outskirts, showing how the town has grown.
Rural surroundings
Beyond the town, small paths and scattered settlements spread across the countryside, adding a delicate fine-grained pattern around the edges of the print.
