Town square core
The historic centre forms a small, dense knot of streets around an open square. It is the clearest focal point on the poster and the traditional heart of the district.

Alor Gajah Map Poster & Print
Alor Gajah is the administrative town of one of Melaka's districts, set inland from the historic port city. From above it shows a compact centre of shophouse streets and government buildings. Housing estates spread along the main roads, and green plantation land fills the spaces between them. The roads bend with the gentle terrain rather than following a strict grid, which gives the town a relaxed outline.
The name is usually explained as elephant's channel, from the Malay words alor and gajah. It recalls a time when elephants moved through this country. The town centre gathers around an open square lined with rows of shophouses. The wider district mixes Malay villages, newer housing estates and plantation land, which shows as soft, unmarked areas on the map.
An Alor Gajah map poster captures a side of Melaka that visitors to the coast rarely see. It is an inland town of curving roads, cul-de-sacs and scattered settlements. The linework is looser and more natural than in a planned city. This gives the print a gentle rhythm and plenty of quiet space around its centre.

Curving estate roads
Housing estates add loops and short dead-end roads that curl away from the main routes. They create a softer, less regular pattern than the shophouse streets.
Plantation surroundings
Between settlements, plantations and farmland appear as open space broken only by a few rural roads. They place the town within the green interior of Melaka state.
