The shoreline
The Arabian Sea coast forms a long, clean line along the western side of the map. It gives the composition a strong edge and a clear sense of orientation.

Ariyallur Map Poster & Print
Ariyallur lies on the Malabar coast of Kerala, in Malappuram district, south of Kozhikode. From above, the landscape is shaped by the sea. A long, nearly straight shoreline runs along the western edge, and behind it lanes and small roads wind through dense stands of coconut palms, houses and gardens. There is no sharp line between village and countryside, since homes are spread through the greenery.
The settlement pattern is typical of coastal Malabar. Instead of one compact centre, houses line the roads and paths in a continuous ribbon. Water is never far away: the sea on one side, and rivers, canals and wetlands inland. Transport routes run roughly parallel to the coast and tie the village to the towns along it.
An Ariyallur map poster brings these layers into one frame: the strong line of the shore, the looser network of lanes behind it, and the water inland. It is a quiet, horizontal composition, well suited to anyone with family roots on this stretch of coast or with memories of time spent here.

Lanes among palms
Behind the beach, narrow roads and paths branch and wind between houses and groves. They form an irregular, finely detailed web across the middle of the poster.
Parallel routes
Roads running along the coast connect Ariyallur to neighbouring towns. They cut across the finer village lanes and add structure to an otherwise organic pattern.

Miért Ariyallur?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
Many families from the Malabar coast now live and work far from home, in the Gulf, in Indian cities or further away. A map of Ariyallur keeps the shape of home in view: the lane to the family house, the walk to the sea.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a special date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match your space.
