Fairways from above
The golf courses appear as long, irregular bands running through the valley. On the poster they read almost like rivers, soft shapes that contrast with the tighter residential streets around them.

Atamaría Map Poster & Print
Atamaría is in the far south-east of the Region of Murcia, in the municipality of Cartagena. It sits on a strip of land where the shallow lagoon of the Mar Menor meets the higher, rockier coast facing the Mediterranean. On a map the area has little of the grid you see in older Spanish towns. Its streets are mostly curving residential lanes that follow the contours of the ground.
The area is best known for its large golf resort. Its courses show up from above as long, pale ribbons of green set into dry, rolling terrain. Around them, cul-de-sacs and looping roads serve low-rise houses and apartments, and some of the lines end abruptly where the hills begin. To the south, protected coastal land keeps the shoreline mostly free of building, so the map thins out towards the sea.
An Atamaría map poster shows a place shaped by leisure and landscape more than by a historic centre. The roads bend around slopes, the fairways make soft abstract shapes, and the nearby lagoon and sea frame the scene. In black and white, this mix of planned curves and open ground makes an unusual, quiet composition.

Contour-following roads
Rather than a grid, local roads loop and curve with the hills. This gives the map an organic, hand-drawn quality that suits a minimalist print.
Between two seas
The Mar Menor lagoon lies to one side and the Mediterranean to the other. Depending on the framing, both bodies of water can enter the composition as broad empty spaces.

Miért Atamaría?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People who have spent summers here, played its courses or own a house among these hills often want a reminder that shows more than a photograph can. A map shows the whole setting at once: the curve of your street, the edge of the resort, the way to the coast.
You can add your own title, a subtitle such as a year or family name, and the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room. The design is available as a $9 HD download or as a printed poster.
