Rail-line core
The S-train line and station area form the dense centre of Ballerup. Shops and apartment blocks gather where the Finger Plan put the town's focus.

Ballerup Map Poster & Print
Ballerup lies west of Copenhagen, on one of the corridors defined by the city's Finger Plan. Under that plan, growth follows rail lines outward and green land is kept between them. The map shows the logic clearly. There is a built-up core around the S-train station, residential estates and business areas spread out from it, and open fields and woodland lie beyond.
Much of Ballerup was built in the second half of the twentieth century. It has housing estates, schools, industrial parks and the Ballerup Super Arena, known for indoor track cycling. The street pattern mixes curving estate roads and cul-de-sacs with straighter arterial roads. Wide green buffers and lakes mark the edges of the municipality.
A Ballerup map poster shows Danish post-war planning at a glance: a town arranged around a railway, with its neighbourhoods set apart by parks and wedges of green. The different areas are easy to read, each with its own grain. Together they make a clear, balanced composition that works well at larger sizes.

Estate patterns
Curving roads, loops and cul-de-sacs of post-war housing estates cover much of the town. Each has its own recognisable shape on the map.
Green wedges
Fields, woods and lakes surround the built-up area, just as the Finger Plan intended. They give the print generous open margins.

Miért Ballerup?
Egy térkép, ami jelent valamit
People who grew up in Ballerup or commuted along its rail line often remember it as a place of estates, bike paths and open fields at the edge of town. A clean map of that layout feels familiar and uncluttered on a wall.
