Barrio de Peral is a district of Cartagena, in the Region of Murcia on Spain's southeastern Mediterranean coast. On a map, it forms part of the dense urban area that spreads north from the historic port city, where streets give way to the flat farmland of the Campo de Cartagena. Blocks of flats and houses fill a network of streets crossed by main roads into the centre.
The district shows how Cartagena grew during the twentieth century, with neighbourhoods extending out from the walled port toward the plain.
