Route 8 corridor
The highway runs through the town as a strong, almost straight line, and most of the streets branch off it. On the poster it acts as a spine for the whole map.

Barros Blancos Map Poster & Print
Barros Blancos is in the department of Canelones, a short drive east of Montevideo, and much of its growth has come as the capital's metropolitan belt has spread outward. On a map it appears as groups of residential blocks along Route 8, one of the main roads leading east out of the city. The streets mostly form a regular grid that thins at the edges.
The name translates roughly as white clays. Where the grid meets smallholdings, fields and watercourses, it breaks into uneven pieces instead of forming one tidy block, so the town reads as a patchwork of neighbourhoods laid out at different times. The land is low and gently rolling, typical of southern Canelones, and green gaps between the built-up areas are part of the pattern.
In black and white, a Barros Blancos map poster shows a place shaped by its road and its neighbourhoods: a corridor carrying traffic toward the capital and the east, and the streets that have grown up around it. It is a portrait of an ordinary working town, drawn with the same care as a famous city.

Patchwork grid
Blocks laid out at different times meet at slight angles, so the street pattern shifts from one neighbourhood to the next instead of following one uniform grid.
Open edges
At its outer limits the town gives way to fields and scattered plots, and the map shows the dense street pattern fading into large, simple shapes of open land.
